The EPA is preparing to begin construction activities for the public waterline in Spring 2025. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District awarded the construction contract in December 2024 and will be managing the construction of the waterline on behalf of the EPA through an Interagency Agreement. The waterline will provide a new source of water to residents in the Broad Run Farms neighborhood whose private wells are impacted or have the potential to become impacted by contamination associated with the Hidden Lane Landfill Superfund site. The EPA is looking forward to working with USACE and the community as the waterline is built. The EPA welcomes those from the Broad Run Farms Neighborhood, Countryside Neighborhood, and others interested in the waterline, and Hidden Lane Landfill Superfund site, to join us and discuss progress and updates at the site.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, March 27!
