CountrySide Fall Fest – Saturday, October 3!

We hope you’ll join us Saturday, October 3, from noon to 4 p.m. at Parkway Pool (46020 Algonkian Parkway) for the return of Fall Fest! Spend the afternoon with neighbors while enjoying pony rides, a petting zoo, inflatables, carnival games, face painting, delicious food and treats, local vendors, and more.

Fall Fest is free for CountrySide residents with a valid MokoPass. Stop by the check-in table at the parking lot entrance when you arrive to receive your wristband, which provides access to all of the attractions. Guests and residents without a valid MokoPass may purchase an event wristband for $15 per person, payable by credit card only at check-in.

The check-in table is also where you can find the Lost & Found and Family Reunification Point during the event.

We encourage attendees to bring a reusable water bottle to fill at the water stations throughout the event.

Parking will not be available at Parkway Pool during Fall Fest. The parking lot will close beginning Friday, October 2, at 5 p.m. to allow for event setup. Vehicles remaining in the lot Saturday morning will be towed at the owner’s expense.

If possible, we encourage residents to walk to the event. If you need to drive, parking is available at Algonkian Elementary School or along CountrySide neighborhood streets where parking is permitted. Please note that parking along Algonkian Parkway is not permitted.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help make Fall Fest a success! If you’re interested in volunteering, or have any other questions about the event, please email Gabi Warwick at gwarwick@legumnorman.com, call the office at (703) 430-0715, or submit a TownSq request.

We look forward to seeing you at Fall Fest!

Invasive Plant Removal – Volunteer Opportunity

The Ashburn Village Invasives Removal Team (AVIRT) is returning to Pavilion Lake to continue its invasive plant removal efforts.

Pavilion Lake has been the focus of more AVIRT removal efforts than any other location, with the goal of making it the first invasives-free lake in Loudoun County. The work is paying off, with more than 60 native plant species now identified at the lake.

AVIRT is looking for volunteers to help remove newly emerged Bradford pear and white mulberry saplings, as well as bush honeysuckle that was missed during previous efforts. Volunteers will also learn how to identify these invasive species and use the cut-stump method for removal.
