CountrySide Proprietary supports fight against invasive species
CountrySide Proprietary is proud to join eight other Loudoun County HOAs in helping fight invasive species through an exciting partnership with Abernathy and Spencer Nursery, Loudoun Invasive Removal Alliance (LIRA), and Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy (LWC). Free native trees and shrubs were made available to CountrySide Proprietary on the condition that we take custody of them right away and steward a small percentage for LWC use. These species are all native to Virginia, meaning they are ideally suited to our soil and weather and provide the best possible food and resources for our pollinators and birds.
This partnership was highlighted by Loudoun Now through an article and a video, showcasing the impact throughout Loudoun County:

Through October, more than 100 native trees and shrubs will be temporarily stored in their pots at Lindenwood Pool by the tetherball court along the fence. About 70 of those will stay with CountrySide, where we hope they will enhance the beauty of our community for years to come. The remaining 40-plus plants will be returned to LWC.
We appreciate your patience with the short-term inconvenience of their presence at Lindenwood, where they have access to both security and water. Please do not touch the branches, move the pots, or disturb the plants while they are being cared for.
It took fast action on the part of our Board of Directors, Grounds Committee, and Proprietary Office to make the most of this fleeting opportunity. Please join us in thanking them for their efforts!
